Hermandad came together the way the best things do — between friends, across time, with nothing forced. It started in Iceland, where JJ Julius Son was raised in cold winds and heavy skies. That path led him to Nashville, where he found soul, grit, and roads that seemed to stretch forever. These pieces hold both worlds in their weight: carved runes and black stones for the North, turquoise and leather for the South. A mix of styles as intentional and as heavy as his music.

The Inspiration Behind Hermandad

When asked about the inspiration, JJ put it simply:

“My Nordic Icelandic background mixed with my love for old western style from North America after living there and touring for a decade now.”

That’s the energy running through Hermandad — craftsmanship with raw, organic style. Pieces that feel lived in. Built to create your own story, your own mix, your own identity.

Crafted With Intention

The collection was shot by our brother Carlos Lang in the mountains outside Mexico City — a place that felt as real and honest as the pieces themselves.

For the first time, every piece was blessed before leaving our workshop in Bali. Not because it was expected, but because it felt necessary. Our team gathered with incense, flowers, and prayers spoken in a language older than silver, asking for protection and meaning to be carried wherever these pieces end up.

Brotherhood Without Explanation

As JJ said:

“I think it provides a lot of options so people have variety to create their own style with the pieces.”

There’s no single way to wear Hermandad. Just as there’s no single way to define brotherhood. For us, it’s a connection without question. Craft without shortcuts. Pieces made with intention — silver, black onyx, turquoise, and leather worked by hands that have been with us since day one.
