Son of Erik the Red, grandson of Thorvaldr — King's blood ran in his veins. He could trace his roots back to Naddador, the first warrior to set foot on this harsh island of snow and ice. 

But he knew his destiny lay far from this rock in the middle of the sea. He had heard whispered tales of an undiscovered land, further west than any man had traveled. 

His crew was assembled, and his longship stocked with supplies — now all he needed a blade worthy of a king.
